Get your kids into water sports this school holiday with our range of courses, which are suitable for kids over 6 years old. Courses are typically 5 days long and offer a range of activities, from learning to surf to canoeing and kayaking, and in some cases a taster of everything. Our school holiday courses are always a hit with kids and parents alike!
With no previous experience requirement, your child can either start at the very beginning, or look to develop their paddle skills further. Skills are taught through a variety of fun games and exercises which aim to develop technique throughout the course, and the necessary time will be spent covering all theory and safety considerations.
The Youth Paddle School course is a fantastic opportunity for your children to combine canoeing and kayaking on flat water, and then progress to white water.
Our excellent facilities include a flat water pool and an Olympic standard white water course, so your kids will be up for a challenge regardless of whether they are getting on the water for the first time, or returning to perfect their technique.
Once they are captivated with the water sports, they can sign up for courses suiting all abilities at our Paddle School, where our expert instructors will work with them to improve their skills and boost their confidence on the water.
Running throughout the school holidays, our 5 day Youth Surf School is the perfect opportunity for your children and teens to improve their surfing skills, using our state of the art equipment. Youths have a chance to alternate between staying indoors on our simulated surf machine and braving the real waves at Porthcawl beach.
On Monday to Thursday there's Indoor Surfing at CIWW for all the young ones before the group takes part in a surfing lesson out in the sea at Porthcawl on Friday. You needn’t worry about equipment – the kit is included with the courses, so all your children need is swimwear and a towel to dry off.
Make sure your kids stay entertained throughout the holidays – sign them up for our multi activity week. There won’t be a dull moment with this school holiday course which includes a healthy range of half day activities.
Provided that the weather allows it, your children will have the fantastic opportunity to enjoy White Water Rafting, Bell Boating, Sit on Top Kayaking, Canoeing, and Raft Building, as well as Team Challenges, White Water Hotdogging, Indoor Body Boarding, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Air Trail.
By signing your young ones for our multi activity week you ensure there will be plenty of water sports to their linking, whether they prefer more action-packed experiences, relaxed paddling or even getting out of the water and onto the air trail where they can let their inner monkey out.
